Activity
Please try to stay active! We would like to see at least one response a week [more is definitely preferred since we are new]. There will be an activity check on the first of every month, if you know you are going to be unable to respond to this please let a mod team member know before hand! Missing three activity checks will result in the removal of your characters from the RP. You will always be welcome to request them back should you return.
God play
Godmode/powerplaying is not allowed in CoTA, we ask that you always converse with the other member regarding any potential injury or death during your interactions. If you would like to add an element of surprise to your fights please use the dice feature in the bots channel to roll for injuries/damage dealt. In a similar fashion the mod team will roll for the litter size, health, and appearance of all kittens born in game.
Respect
Here at CoTA we are accepting and welcome cats and players of all backgrounds. We will not tolerate bigotry of any kind, this includes protection for gender/sex/pronouns, race, sexuality, and religion. If you have any sort of problems with people and characters of diverse background this is not the server for you. If you experience harassment from another member for any reason please seek the help of the mod team.
Aging
CoTA runs on a time line that is 2x that of real life. This mean that for every day real time the cats have experienced 2, making Gatherings held once a month [on the first tuesday]. Once born kits are eligible to be played at 2 weeks of age immediately. Queens may be advanced a little quicker and are permitted to give birth after 2 real time weeks at minimum. Apprentices are expected to have one training session a week with their mentors in order to keep on track with their aging and rank advancement.
Limits
We understand everyone has different standards for what they can handle. For now we request that a user have no more than 5 cats, this is to ensure that while we are small we are able to keep everyone engaged and the plot moving forward. Each user may only have 1 high ranking character to spread the love a little bit. Players of high ranking cats are expected to work with the mod team for the advancement of server plots.
Blacklist
Please be respectful of all players in the server. We do have an official blacklist of topics in place and discussion of these topics is prohibited. Additionally if you are asked to stop discussing a topic in the server with someone present you are expected to drop the topic. If you have a genuine need for a certain topic to be blacklisted for your mental safety please contact a mod team member and we will handle it. You may also include these topics in the the "other" section of your application.
